Why We Like It
Pepus is another line from the 128 year old cannery Espinaler. Having enjoyed Espinaler’s tins and aperitivo snacks in the past, it seemed only right to give these stuffed squid a go too. And they are delicious!
What To Expect
These tinned Galician baby squid, or chipirones, are stuffed with rice, tomato and onion, and are served in their own ink. They are delicious warm in a pasta sauce, or straight from the tin they make the perfect accompaniment to an aperitif.
Ingredients: squid (Loligo spp), sunflower oil, squid (Dosidicus spp), onion, tomato, rice, salt, ink (E153, E300) and spices
